The document attached to the performance contract listing everything the artist requires for the show: technical needs (PA, lighting, monitors, backline) and hospitality (catering, dressing rooms, towels, water, beverages). Almost always split into two riders: technical rider and hospitality rider. The venue / promoter agrees to provide everything in the rider as a condition of the artist performing. Riders range from one page (developing artists) to 30+ pages (arena headliners) with elaborate stage diagrams, power requirements, and dietary notes.
