The signed performance agreement between buyer (promoter) and artist (represented by their agent). Specifies date, venue, set time, guarantee or deal structure, deposit timing, contractually-required production (the rider), cancellation terms, and force majeure. Contracts are issued by the agent post-confirmation and signed by the buyer first, then countersigned by the agency. Most contracts are 3–8 pages plus the attached riders. A confirmed show without a signed contract is technically still a hold.
