A reservation on an artist's calendar held by a specific buyer pending offer review. Holds are ranked: 1st hold has priority, 2nd hold can challenge to step up, 3rd hold is informational. When a 1st-hold buyer declines or fails to submit an offer in agreed time, holds ladder up (2nd becomes 1st). The hold system lets agents accept multiple inquiries on the same date without committing, while giving buyers visibility into their relative position.
