The artist's on-the-road operations lead. Coordinates everything between artist and the buyer / venue / hotel / airline / driver / crew. Owns the day sheet, runs the advance, handles settlements, manages per-diems, fixes problems before the artist sees them. On smaller tours the tour manager also drives the van, sells merch, and books hotels; on larger tours the tour manager has assistants doing those things. The single most important hire for any touring act past the bar-band level.
