The artist's technical lead on show day. Owns the technical rider, runs the load-in, manages the production crew (FOH, monitors, lighting, video, backline tech), and coordinates with the venue's production team. The production manager is the technical counterpart to the tour manager: the tour manager owns operations, the production manager owns production. On large tours these are two people; on smaller tours one person doubles up. Production managers typically come from a stage manager or tour electrician background.
